I Remember Santa Klaus
I may have a short memory;
peoples names always escape me.
But i’m an old fool and perhaps
old age causes memory lapse.
I need something to blame it on;
The fact that memory is gone.
I don’t believe in Santa Klaus.
I began to doubt him because
in every department store
i noticed there were always more
pitchmen for children’s merchandise
costumed, and telling children lies.
Yes, Virginia, Santa lives
as long as the profit he gives.
