Smoke Gets In Our Eyes
Because the stars have magnetism
we have affiliation with them
and a monkey in a palm tree
has a stage resemblance to me.
All of us knew at the same time
that stars and monkeys do not rhyme.
Does a feeling of resignation
sound like an unequal equation?
If capitalism goes broke
and we are blinded by the smoke
most of us will then realize
they have always blown smoke in our eyes.
We can then do something about it.
We will be better off without it.
