Control Or Be Controlled
Is the surrounding world relevant
to the inner souls who we invent?
We invent the spirits who we know,
nourish them, attempt to make them grow.
To understand who or what we are
has limited consciousness so far.
As one small part of our universe
we can make our world better or worse.
A better world may be our intent
but we sometimes seem incompetent.
Do outside events cooperate
or, perhaps, determine our fate?
We can become who we want to be
and determine our own destiny.
