Baiting the Trap
I ignored the friendly glances
or the occasional chances
for non-sexual romances
at our adolescent dances.
Girls didn’t seem mysterious
but too eager and serious.
I didn’t want to be involved
B4 some questions were resolved.
For one, why did they want to flirt
or wear enticing mini skirt
if sex was never on their mind
and was likely 2B declined?
I thought unmarried sex was wrong
but premature urges were strong.
