Sometimes A Prayer
If a poem is a meditation
implanted on a printed page,
when was it a koan
instead of a prayer?
I think it became a poem
when it is exfoliated openly;
made publicly available
instead of a private talk with gods.
Somewhere in an akashic field
it is available to an inquiring mind.
This searching mind translates it
so that it becomes published.
Who then, is really the poet?
Are gods the original authors?
