Whence Comes Idolatry?
Is there something unholy
about worshiping idols?
Is the devil an idol too;
a demiurge without disguise?
A sycophant to a false god
denigrates both god and devil.
But, what is the definition
of any of these?
I believe there is a benign force,
which i think of as god, of course.
A bewhiskered man in the sky;
is that an idol or a lie?
Perhaps not of evil intent,
what do such idols represent?
