Stories Made Up
A robin on a redwood fence
may keep an eagle in suspense.
He waits and builds an appetite
4 robin 4 dinner 2night.
But he may have waited 2 long
b4 knowing something is wrong.
4 coming around a near bend
is the robin’s gun-toting friend.
Suddenly there is a big bang
and after that the robin sang.
Hungry eagle had been alarmed
and the robin hadn’t been harmed.
“That is the way fairy tales end”
my daddy told me–then he grinned.
