Methinks the Critics Obscure
Even if i can penetrate
the arcane vocabulary,
the wearing need to concentrate
is always too necessary.
Criticism may be an art
above one being criticized;
but the critics are much too smart,
so i am not ever surprised.
What i would really like to know
is whether i would like the piece
of art, poem, or writing–so
my knowledge, not yours, would increase.
Can’t ya’ll please use a simple word?
