Upon Re-readng Leaves of Grass
My philosophy was perceived
before i had developed it
by Walt Whitman and some others,
but finally it is my own.
These others have merely confirmed
a hoped-for cosmic consciousness..
This future vision depends on
perceiving the power of love.
So the Leaves of Grass and myself
may be the sources of my pelf
but what we can do for others
is the wealth each one discovers.
I celebrate myself, and yet,
it is love i dare not forget.
