Whence the Ideas?

Where do i find the topics i do

when i write these verses to you?

I often write the poem first

and then i find myself immersed

in whatever i have said

just off the top of my head.

If that is nonsense, OK.

That is what i meant to say.

That is the culmination

of my wild imagination.

That’s when i try to find out

what i have been talking about

I think of all i have seen or done

and of all these things, i pick one.
