The Interest Is Love

Neither biased nor prejudiced

but indifference, i insist

may be the truest sign of love

after push has evolved to shove.

It isn’t that the gods don’t care,

compassion is everywhere.

Tao is how everything works

and where all good intention lurks.

Love and compassion is the way

we ought to live our lives each day.

Good intentions always return

as a new form of love we learn.

Cast your bread upon the water;

honor your mother and father.
