The Blind Ghost

Ghosts are wandering spirits

without cosmic consciousness

Mutable, but he’s static;

the blind ghost in the attic.

Great uncle George wasn’t dead,

a living spirit instead.

If you’ve ever known a ghost

you’re more fortunate than most.

Uncle George remained hidden,

belief in ghosts forbidden.

The other side of the Styx

they’re in a hell of a fix.

Unable to return and tell,

ghosts have lost their bodies as well.

Uncle George once whispered to me,

”Being a ghost ain’t heavenly.
