Some Poets and “i”

Perhaps we make ourselves revealed

better than any other field.

When it comes to baring our soul,

we let our inner secrets roll.

Some self-centered people can be

saying, “Hello, folks, look at me”

We can avoid this temptation,

as we do in conversation,

by taking out the small word “i.”

and we can do it if we try.

Yet, we are trying to express

our very own self-consciousness.

So, “Hello people. Listen here.

I’m not planning to disappear.“
