Take a Chance on Love

It can be hard to look ahead

after our optic nerve is dead.

Can we see what we want to see;

a small glimpse of eternity.

Is it justice, and is it fair,

if we see nothing anywhere?

The first thing we have to face:

Life is given to us by grace,

and the next thing we have to learn:

We don’t always get what we earn.

Sometimes it’s the luck of the draw

and isn’t based on man-made law.

Just be thankful for what we get.

Life is an educated bet.
