What Do We Call Home?

Is home the place where we sleep

or keep what we want to keep?

I think it is more than that

to me or the household cat.

It is when push comes to shove

we are introduced to love.

It is the place in our heart

where comfort has its true start.

It’s where no one lifts their nose

or appears to be too close.

It is where our family

lives together happily.

it’s where we want to remain

but we can’t go home again.
