How Long is Eternity?

I am stitching words together

In hopes they will last forever.

There isn’t an end of time.

It helps if i make them rhyme.

Why does rhyming make it so?

Because it’s another way to sew.

A pattern we can remember

from May until December.

These words have been said before;

so they are easy to ignore.

Nothing new is happening

to make my own phrases sing.

Except that i expect to be

alive throughout eternity.
