Accentuate the Positive

I didn’t ask Louise to marry me.

I just stated it more positively.

”I think its time for us to get married.”

The motion was made and it was carried.

I left the actual date up to her

because natural events could occur.

I didn’t give her a chance to say no

because our growing love was sure to grow.

I certainly didn’t have any doubt

concerning what our lifetime was about.

After being married fifty-four years,

i feel i can still see her through my tears.

She is still with me in my nightly dreams.

I was right to be positive it seems.
