Can We Talk About God?

I don’t intend to sneer

at those blinded by faith.

I don’t intend to appear

a superior wraith.

For, i am not a ghost

but a living creature.

What i talk about most

is not as a preacher.

The things people believe

may sometimes seem absurd.

It is hard to conceive

faith as a holy word.

I am sure they don’t doubt

what i am unsure about.

It’s the mind which is closed

to which i am opposed.

Can God be off limits

in anybody’ soul

except for the dimwits

refusing God a role?

That’s what i want to teach:

“God isn’t hard to reach.”
