Birds Think, i Think

Do they meditate like i do;

or only day dream like you?

Is this a brain exercise

which attempts to make them wise?

They often appear to sleep

without secrets they must keep.

If they could just talk to me,

would they do so frequently?

Would they, like me, ask questions,

or offer wise suggestions?

They do make a joyful noise

when they talk with girls and boys.

That is only evidence

Their thinking is just nonsense.
