After the End of Time
What else will i have to do
when bodily life is through?
I will lay down my burden
so death can get a word in.
Words have been chubby with me
but no longer want to be.
They are less easy to rhyme
after the end of time.
Words of wisdom are gone;
only death can carry on.
I see, written on the sky,
the words which refuse to die.
Words ending with an e
keep on rhyming with me.
