A Capital Illusion

From a distance it does appear

that planet Earth looks like a sphere.

But, standing on it, you can see

it is flat; like it ought to be.

In the midst of this confusion

which appearance is illusion?

In the flat Earth society,

we often confuse i and We.

Why should i be capitalized

if only We are recognized?

From where we are, the planet Mars

looks like a million other stars.

There is only one galaxy.

at least, there’s only one We see.
