Pain free in Eternity

There are things we can endure

like a cancer we can’t cure.

But just enduring the pain

still lets the cancer remain.

Is the pain testing our soul;

Does it have another goal?

Is it here to let us know

the cancer is gonna grow?

It’s a symptom of disease

but we wish the pain would cease.

Although it is meaningless;

interferes with happiness.

I hope in eternity

my pain will not bother me.
