I am Seriously Concerned

I hope i can some day find out

what i am serious about.

what is interesting to me

is my hope for eternity.

I am trying to convince you

with these little verses i do

that the imp who lives within me

is some sort of eternity.

My imp is not the only one

who thinks our lives ought to be fun.

There is a cosmic consciousness

which is probably God, i guess.

If not God, as it seems to me,

i wonder what else God can be.
