With an Honorable Discharge

The body doesn’t contain the soul.

It plays much less than an equal role.

Self consciousness of any creature

sees its spirit as its main feature.

The tangible part, the body, dies

but death is what the spirit denies.

The soul has an immortality

which is very important to me.

So when, not if, my own body dies

it will not come as a great surprise.

My body is not all that there is

and i will be satisfied with this.

I’ll be able to go home again

and after that i will feel no pain.
