Don’t Say i Think, but i Will
A bullfrog in a swamp down south
decided he would try to sing,
but a sound which came from his mouth
was like a croak, if anything.
Taking a man from a mountain
but not the mountain from the man
or rippling sound from a fountain
is like saying, “I think i can.”
The bullfrog thought perhaps he could,
but thinking doesn’t make it so.
Maybe he could sing very good
if he changed i think to i know.
Doing what we think we ought to
depends on our attitude, too.
