This Year It’s Different
If the winds can bring them in
the clouds are wispy and thin.
There are no raindrops in 'em.
and the sky is like blue denim.
The Sonoran desert is
usually clear like this.
They say the clouds are scattered
as if it really mattered.
Day after day monotony
without a hint of rain for me.
We think that the monsoon
is like a forgotten tune.
There is no moisture anywhere
but the weatherman calls this fair.
