Is there a distinct animus;

a soul beyond mortality?

Or, is there something within us

more akin to morality?

You may have wondered if you are

an animal without a soul.

You must not have looked very far

beyond the edge of a black hole.

Have you ever thought about this,

or even wondered about death?

Is the cosmos just an abyss,

where the heart must hold its breath?
