Only by Grace, We Expect Love

How is cosmic consciousness served

for granting us life undeserved?

Is It rewarded each day

when we give thanks as we pray?

Can rewards or punishments be

important to divinity?

I think, perhaps, eternity

will be most rewarding to me.

But, whatever God may be,

i can’t call It he or she.

I think It’s on a higher plain

where i expect It to remain.

I think It is deserving of

less worship, and much more of love.
