Getting the Message

Inside me there is an elf

who thinks he talks to himself.

But he really talks to me.

This is an absurdity.

Elves are unnecessary;

I’m like his secretary.

I write down what he is saying;

even when he is praying.

He talks to God and i hear

God’s answer in my own ear.

Elves, angels, and gremlins do

whatever God tells them to.

Sometimes i also obey.

I Get the Message some way.
