A Chocolate Purple Turtle

Some things in poetry are strange.

What can you rhyme with an orange?

A purple orange may be

a little bit stranger than me.

What is truer than nonsense?

The chocolate coating on mints.

A couplet doesn’t have to be

two equal syllables for me.

In fact, if you think about it;

anyone can learn to doubt it.

Flarf is now stylish again;

even becoming urbane.

Lewis Carroll and Ogden Nash

wrote poetry instead of trash.
