The Absolute Truth

Now that i am long retired,

imagination is required

to enhance my memory

of the things which used to be.

If i have done so, is it wrong

to add beauty to my song?

Do we really know what is true

about the things we used to do?

Perhaps hopes and aspirations

are our honest revelations.

We may be more conscious of

the things which we really love.

Being more conscious of such things,

could mean they were real happenings.
