Words and Birds

There are swords which do not rhyme

and are meaningless as time.

A flarf consists of such words.

So do the love songs of birds.

The bird songs never announce

that only the meaning counts.

Flarfs only celebrate sound.

There is no meaning around.

These word sounds in a poem

sing like birds if we know’em.

Flarfs do not mean anything,

but, like birds, they also sing.

Flarfs may have a rhyme also;

something which the birds don’t know.
