A Nameless Dread of Being Dead
Are there any nameless fears
accompanied by our tears?
There are fears of loneliness;
a loss of self-consciousness.
Being afraid of our fear
when it isn’t really here
is a fear without a name.
It is frightful just the same.
One thing to be afraid of
is diminishment of love.
It is silly, i am told
having fear of getting old
All our fears may disappear
without names; or so i hear.
