Eternity Confirmed

My soul can never disappear

as long as my body is here.

But, what will happen to it when

the body is just a has been?

Eternity is forever

but can we still be together?

If the soul has to be somewhere

when body is beyond repair;

i suspect that it has to be

left adrift in eternity,

before it becomes only part

of an always expanding heart.

What this great spirit does for me

is to confirm eternity.
