Serious Nonsense

The curious monster tried to say

why tomorrow was his best day.

His syntax always came out wrong

because it was a serious song.

It was after post-modernism

which is the current sign of wisdom.

Avant garde only means

published in magazines.

It was only published because

editors are like Santa Klaus.

They have lots of reindeer

whose purpose isn’t clear.

I think why this one was best

“I got something off my chest.”
