My Imaginary Elf

There is nothing mysterious

about not feeling serious.

An inner elf won’t let me be

unaware of eternity.

My elf has imagination;

which simply prevents frustration.

It keeps me happy and aware

of a cosmos everywhere.

I feel sorry for all of those

unable to say: “Just suppose.”

Those who are overwhelmed by facts

and thus unable to relax.

I wish everyone could be

as relaxed as my elf and me.
