A Meaningless Meow

To rip the meaning from a phrase

is possible in many ways.

Phrases which are empty of rhymes

may be full of meaning sometimes.

When i see a beautiful phrase

it can haunt me–but not always.

That’s when i look for evidence

that the phrase is only nonsense.

But it still may give me a thrill

as any beauty always will.

Even if the meaning is missing

i am always reminiscing.

How did they ever think of that?

It is as graceful as a cat.
