The Lost Cave
I know of a cave where you have
to exhale to slide through the
entrance on your belly; but you
may get stuck. If you take a long
deep breath you might crack a
rib or two.
When Albert could’t get out
we panicked and called nine one
one. The fire truck couldn’t climb
the hill so the rescuers had to hike.
They dropped a rope through the
entrance with a hangman’s loop
on it. He stuck his arm through
the loop and they pulled him out.
If In Rhyme
Once, while wandering around
there was a large cave we found.
The entrance was very small.
To enter we had to crawl.
We were afraid of being stuck.
and fat Albert was out of luck.
He got in but couldn’t get out
and we heard his frightened shout.
After that one of the women
sought help in nearby Mt. Lemon.
We finally got Albert free.
The cave is still a mystery.
That was fifty years ago.
Where is it now? I don’t know.
