An Analogy

The synecdoches i use

are often easy to choose.

If i say, “There goes the law.”

it was the sheriff i saw.

Everyone knows what it means

“to open a can of beans.”

Opening a can of worms;

a disaster it confirms.

A school of fish may be

another synecdoche.

A group of fools such as me

can be called society.

Now that you know what it means

we won’t have worms in the beans.
