Perhaps

Collapsed; perhaps still to collapse

are the body and spirit perhaps.

Perhaps easy to decide

which was the first one who died.

For, what kind of life was led

before the body was dead?

The spirit can never die;

but, is forever a lie?

The spirit will carry on

after the body is gone.

Perhaps. Perhaps we don’t know

if there is an after glow.

Is there a spirit somewhere

after the body aint there?
