Some are good

but summer is not

It is fall and i anticipate

the stark and wintry look of the trees

now yielding colored leaves to a breeze.

Summer is gone–i can celebrate.

Why am i happy that summer is gone?

Because i live on a desert plain

and the scorching heat will not remain.

Still, i love the desert i live on.

It is most comfortable in fall.

The winter and spring are still ahead;

b4 summer comes i may be dead

but, i think the chance of that is small.

Perhaps there are other good reasons

i anticipate changing seasons.
