i am not a capitalist

Something about capitals,

when used in the wrong places,

is a ridiculous thing,

and, it keeps me rebelling.

I have poetic license

to use i when it makes sense.*

God can sometimes be a god.

and none of us find that odd.

Capitalizing a name

is like saying, Jesus came,

and that is OK with me;

it affords some dignity.

Starting each poetic line

with a cap seems asinine.
