Just Imagine That

The comprehension of matter

takes a particular mind-set.

Understanding a child’s laughter

takes more energy to forget.

Our inability to know

is easy to overcome though.

Push rationality aside

and let imagination ride.

That may be easier to say

than practicing it day to day.

That is where poets have it made,

knowing that sunshine invents shade,

and knowing how weird life would be

if everyone thought like me.
