Way Back

Fourteen billion years ago,

when, we don’t exactly know,

the cosmos was only black

but that was a long ways back.

Then, out of an endless night

somebody flipped on the light.

That is what we have been told.

But, these myths are getting old.

Just keep this under your hat,

“I don’t really believe that.”

I think that eternity

was, is, and will always be.

And so creation a fake

and the big bang a mistake.

There is cosmic consciousness.

That is what God is, i guess.
