Here I Am, Send Me

This world which i live in

didn’t have to begin.

It was here when i came;

that is part of the game.

I used to wonder why

i came here just to die.

There’s a purpose for me,

“Explain eternity.”

As a simple poet

i’m not sure i know it

but i will volunteer.

The answers may appear.

I’m your ambassador.

That’s what poets are for.
