Why Do I Say

Why do i say It and not He

when my God is talking to me?

Because It’s on a higher plane

and my reverence can remain.

It is hard to personify

something which ain’t going to die.

Intangible is what It is

and i want to recognize this.

Spiritual instead of physical,

It is more real than mythical.

I’m not trying to put God down

by using another pronoun.

I am trying to show respect.

My God is more than an object.
