What does it mean, this word meaning?

I thought it meant definition.

What am i trying to define

in these little poems of mine?

Just an ineffable feeling

which into my soul comes stealing.

It takes some imagination

for its manifestation.

If imagination should die,

the obvious question is why?

If you relied too much on facts,

you failed to let your soul relax.

Meaning could also mean purpose

while life is more like a circus.
