nothing to hide

do i dare express

all of my inner hopes

for fear they may escape?

yes, of course i dare.

expressing hopes and fears

lets you know i care.

i am willing to confide

what some people want to hide

consciousness is not denied.

you may not want to know

all my inner secrets though

and if you do not, say so.

i am not taciturn

about anything i learn

what bridges could i burn?

I am not afraid

of the mistakes i have made

or that my memories fade.

i am reaching out to you

so reach out to me too.

Are there things i should not say,

or be cautious anyway?

I don’t want to offend you.

but sometimes i may have to.

If the truth is to be told

we often have to be bold.

If you are afraid to know

what the truth really is though,

it may really be your fault,

so don’t blame it on weird Walt.
