Unearned Happiness

First i would like to say

this has been a good day.

I am thankful for that.

I pray with this format.

Good fortune attends me.

Is luck all it could be?

I think there’s something more

i should be grateful for.

Perhaps that guiding force

could be called God of course.

I can’t help but wonder

why i should be under

such unearned happiness

while others live with less.
