A Mutant Confesses

I want to have an honest

opinion of myself;

and not as if mutated,

as more sophisticated.

But, in all honesty,

that is what i want to be.

It isn’t who i am,

so is my life a scam?

I try to make an ideal

evolve from what is real.

I think that i am humble

but that is where i stumble.

Such abject humility

gives a false picture of me.
